Commissions
As well as my own creations, I enjoy working direct with customers on bespoke commissions where I work directly from their specifications in order to design and create a piece they will love.
Customers often have a sentimental family piece which they wish to use metal or gemstones from and give a new lease of life. The sentiment of these pieces being the most valuable aspect making it priceless to the wearer. Being able to work with such pieces is a great honour and privilege.
The Commission Process
Stage one: The process begins with a consultation or email where initial elements of the commission are discussed such as design ideas, metal type, gemstones, budget, etc. From here I will design a variety of initial designs and source any gemstones needed.
PLEASE NOTE:
A £50 design fee is needed at this stage which is non-refundable but is redeemable against the total commission price if you are to go ahead with the commission. This £50 fee is needed before any design or sourcing of materials begins.
Stage two: This stage requires another consultation or email where we will look through designs and discuss any alterations. This process can be as long or as short as you need. There is no rush to decide on your final design, it is important that you love the design and are happy before moving forward. When the design is finalised, we will confirm sizing, materials, gemstones, etc.
Stage three: When you are 100% happy with all details and a 50% deposit has been paid, I can begin the making process. This usually takes 6-8 weeks.
Stage four: Once your piece is complete and hallmarked by Birmingham Assay Office, I will contact you to arrange collection or postage. All pieces are posted by Royal Mail Special Delivery, which means your piece will be insured and will require a signature on arrival.
Commission pieces start at £350+
